But for the rest of the things I do I can say that I am (I hope) a reformed over-achiever. Now to the important stuff: Glad to hear that you are feeling better. I've made that same visit to the hospital before and it SUCKS! It would be even more difficult for you having some children to care for. Take care and have a happy Valentines Day!Toocutedobshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10448209084645320583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6014678528740769102.post-78513368124538431042011-02-10T05:02:04.566-05:002011-02-10T05:02:04.566-05:00Oh Venessa, I'm sorry you were so ill, but so ...Oh Venessa, I'm sorry you were so ill, but so glad to hear you are doing better. To answer your question, I'm not a sewing perfectionist. But for me it depends on the fabric. If it is a fabric I really love and don't think I will get tired of then I will take the time to make sure the fit is right before I cut.MushyWearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11298153126878457192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6014678528740769102.post-3681948763398964372011-02-09T20:58:29.168-05:002011-02-09T20:58:29.168-05:00So sorry to hear of your trip to the hospital! Oh, I don't like making muslins either, but I did make one a couple of weeks ago, and I'm so glad I did.Manecoarsehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11251993123212008736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6014678528740769102.post-87111662509965755992011-02-09T16:41:40.951-05:002011-02-09T16:41:40.951-05:00Glad to hear you're feeling better! As for my ...Glad to hear you're feeling better! As for my sewing personality-I'm more laid back. I feel like I'm always thinking, "Ah, it'll work out." But it DOESN'T always work out.

I'm trying to lean more toward perfectionist, though. :) I guess balance is the key, huh?

I think muslins are a little less torturous if you use a fabric you like. That way, you can aim for a wearable muslin, but you aren't out a ton of money if it doesn't work out.Jennahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01853924203149917457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6014678528740769102.post-1482954977611340112011-02-09T15:16:30.074-05:002011-02-09T15:16:30.074-05:00Perfectionist, so much so that I think it has hind...Perfectionist, so much so that I think it has hindered me. I am taking a step back to try and let go of having the need for everything to be perfect the first time around and instead try to learn from my mistakes. It's a hard thing to do though.Taki Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10996871065898481090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6014678528740769102.post-56226441987214027412011-02-09T11:16:12.056-05:002011-02-09T11:16:12.056-05:00Perfectionist, but working on easing up a bit! Think it stems from working in the sewing industry...if it wasn't perfect it had to be ripped out and then you lost money! :(Maryissewfasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12780345687245124170noreply@blogger.com
